Twinkeldonk is an Astronomie site made by Wil Vree.
It shows some results of my new astrofotographie hobby, that I started in november 2022.

This is a 10 seconds single shot at 16mm. Taken on Terschelling Oosterend in the south direction, where you can see the lightpollution of Northern Friesland directin Harlingen where the bright light is. Funny is that the clouds above the see between Terschelling and Friesland are black because thare are no lightsources in the see. And on the west side of the picture the clouds are white being illuminated by the Lighthouse of Terschlling at the westside.

Big Dipper above Terschelling Oosterend. single shot 10 seconds at 16mm lens. Taken in the north direction where there is no lightpollution above the North Sea. The number of stars I can see around the Big Dipper is so much more then in my bortle5 home town. It was a bright july night except for some small low clouds. The clouds are black cause they are not lit by lightpollutiin sources. And because of the astronomical twilight in june and july it does not really get black dark in the very north

Milkyway with Cassiopeia and Andromeda 30x10seconds exposure 16mm lens focus F5-ISO1600 Siril stacking and processing MS-edit-text after edit This was taken at near Bortle2 area at Oosterend at Terschelling island next to Dark Sky Park de Boschplaat. The sky there is so bright that you can clearly can see the Milkyway with the naked eyes. Also the number of stars you see in the sky is overwhelming.

My path in Astrophotography. In november 2022 I started this astrophotography hobby. I used the gear I already had, a Sony A6300 camera with 18-15mm kitlens plus a 55-210mm zoomlens. With this placed on a sturdy Cullmann photography tripod I started taking series of pictures untracked photography and stacked them together on my laptop. First I used DeepSkyStacker for stacking. Later I used Siril for the complete process of stacking and postproceseeing. My first results were the M31 Andromeda Galaxy and the M45 Orion Nebula, see pictures with processing description below. Later I shot also M42 Pleiades untracked. In may 2023 I bought a Skywatcher AZ-GTi tracking and Goto mount second hand with an EQ wedge and a pier. Plus a iOpton tripod. I started with using SynscanPro on smartphone and laptop plus Stellarium as a planetarium program. With that I pictured M81, M13, improved Andromeda, improved Pleiades and shot NGC7000 North America Nebula. Lately I also got hold of a cheap second hand , nearly unused Canon EOS 6ooD with a 18-50mm kitlens and a 50-250mmm zoomlens. And recently I am turning my attic room in to an observatory. When nights are clear I have a view from east to west and from dust till dawn which and is not obstructed from about 8 to 12 degrees altitude and above the street lanterns. Special problem for polar aligning is that I have no view ther on Polaris. So now I dived into Nina to try get 3 point polar alignment working, that needs no Polaris. But the most impressive night sky I saw at holiday this june at Terschelling near "de Boschplaat" which is bortle 2, I can recomend to evryone. See my pictures here under. In my working life I worked in electronics for 5 years and after that in ICT till my pension in 2020.
